Most gemstone rings only need warm water, a drop of mild soap and a soft brush. Rinse, then dry with a lint-free cloth.
Take your ring off before swimming, cleaning with chemicals or applying lotions and perfume. Softer and porous stones such as aqeeq, coral and feroza are the most sensitive.
Store each piece in its own pouch or box so harder stones cannot scratch softer ones, and have the setting checked once a year so the stone stays secure.
